在合浦县城与北海市城区的交叉处, 坐落着一个水陆交通便利,居住着800余户人家的沿海村庄。走进村庄,就会有一种耳目一新的感觉:洁净的水泥道路,新颖别致的路灯点缀其间,夜间发出的光芒如万紫下红的鲜花争奇斗艳;翠绿的果树下掩映着一幢幢的农家新楼,错落有致;有线闭路电视、程控电话早已遍及百家……这就是北海市远近闻名、户年均收入超万元的小康文明示范村——廉州镇烟楼村。过去,烟楼村穷得叮当响,“吃饭靠耕田,养猪为过年,喂鸡买油盐”的生活持续了数十年。谈起村里奇迹般的变化,乡亲们都异口同声地称赞道:是村党总支把我们引上了富裕路。
