Mike is going out later with his sweetheart, Julie, for valentine’s Day. Here, Mike’s friend Sue gives him some advice on how to have a good date.

Sue: Mike!Good to see you. Today’s valentine’s Day. Why aren’t you out with Julie?
Mike: We’re going out on the town later.
Sue: Wow, that’s exciting! Are you going to sweep her off her feet1?
Mike: Yeah. I was thinking of taking her out with the guys: Eat some pizza, shoot pool, andmaybe go to a video arcade2 later.
Sue: That doesn’t sound very romantic, Mike. First of all, ditch3 your friends.
Mike: Just the two of us? But I wouldn’t have a clue where to take her.
Sue: You can take her out to a fancy restaurant for a quiet, candlelit4 dinner.
Mike: No way. That’s too expensive.
Sue: Hmm. Why not try cooking? Well, on second thought, maybe you could buy something at the store and have a picnic in the park. And write her a poem!
Mike: Wow, that sounds great!Have any more advice?
Sue: Yeah. Pretend that you came up with the ideas for the date yourself!
休：迈克！真高兴看到你。今天是情人节，你怎么没和朱莉出去？
迈克：我们稍后要去市区逛逛。
