This paper analyzes the relationship between the cultural backgrounds and ways of thinking and listening comprehension,proposes the role understanding cultural background plays in improving the level of listening,as well as the basic principles of cultural introduction in listening teaching,targeted measures and suggestions which are to create learning environment,carefully edit the textbook and supporting materials and enhance classroom organization with a view to enhance the effectiveness of listening teaching.
