【Abstract】The architects should recognize the significance of architectural style according to the differences on educational environment, psychological cognition, and personality of human being. However, the functional and economic properties are overemphasized while ignoring people’s psychological needs in the traditional architectural design. Therefore, this article presents the importance of cultural elements on architectural design, and investigates the application of human elements to provide a critical value for architectural design.

1. Introduction
With the rapid growth of social economy, architectural design has more requirements with the improvements on the level of materials and spirits. Many architectural styles designed by foreigners are more popular compared that in domestics. But the designers in China underestimate the influence of actual demands in building design. As for the status of human elements in architecture design, the pursuit of architectural personality is more diversified as the rising positive thinking of Chinese designers. But there are also some shortcomings such as the lack of local culture and national characteristics. Thus, this paper focus on discussing the impact of cultural elements on architectural design to advance the cultural elements can be better handed down.
2. The application of cultural elements in architectural design
2.1 Incorporating the cultural elements into interior design
It is necessary to deal with the scale and proportion of the building according to the functional properties of the building in internal environment. Such as office buildings, and hotels, foyer and lounge of these types of buildings is a horizontal and vertical transportation hub, which makes people feel to be oppressed and fear if the scale of the foyer is too large and high, further affecting and deviating their actual function.
2.2 combining the cultural elements with exterior design
The design of the external space about the building can be illustrated from three parts, which called the utilization, transformation and creation of the environment. The outdoor design is a comprehensive reflection of the environmental properties and the various attributes of the small environment determined by the main constructions. Thus, it is essential to combine the human elements with the building with exterior space, strength and create the unique character and atmosphere of the buildings to make a more charming style for human beings. 3. Strategies for Enhancing Humanistic Elements in Architectural Design
3.1 integrating the merits of ancient and western architecture
Combining the elements of classical architecture or western architecture with the consideration of cultural background and historical features of the city is not only a unique and novel landscape in modern cities, but also improves the identity in local area during the process of architectural design. The classical architecture in China incorporates the wisdom of thousands of Chinese builders. meanwhile, western architecture is also the Valuable assets produced by the precipitation of countless humanities. Both styles have great reference value for architectural design.
3.2 Various cultural elements put in the environment
In the modern architectural design, the kitchen and the restaurant can be grouped into the same place so that people can participate in housework and self-service at any time, creating a happy family for gathering and enjoying, which allows people to immerse in the real atmosphere of life in terms of this style. Conversely, the bathroom is more complex and frequent space compared with the kitchen, which must coincidence to the rules and behaviors of living, and satisfy the requirements of sanitary, safety and comfort.
4. Conclusion
It is significant criterion for architecture design by integrating the human elements to obtain the requirements of aesthetic and individual and to achieve a relaxed environment for human beings. Thus, the architects should think highly of combining the local customs with the traditional culture during the evolution of architectural design. Moreover, the flexible application of cultural elements and richly consideration of demonstrating the cultural flavor and connotation of the architecture, is of distinct significance for buildings standards that can satisfy the basic expectation.
