以鲁迅为主帅的中国左翼作家联盟在三十年代以鲜血写就的历史,彪炳千古。在文艺创作中,这是个尚未开发的革命历史题材领域。周端木、曹路生、吴新嘉创作的六场话剧《霜天晓角》,把这段历史再现于舞台,做了有益的开拓工作。一九三一年二月七日,白莽(殷夫)、柔石、李伟森、胡也频、冯铿五位“左联”青年作家等人被国民党反动当局秘密杀害于上海龙华监狱。剧本以这个事件为背景,展示“左联”在文化上反“围剿”斗争的一个方面,以及左翼作家队伍内部的分化,揭露法西斯文化专制主义,抨击叛徒和变节者,歌颂文化战线上的斗士。剧中写到了鲁迅,在话剧舞台上第一次出现中国文化革命旗手和主将的形象。
The history of the Chinese left-wing writers’ union headed by Lu Xun in blood in the 1930s has stood out in the ages. In literary and artistic creation, this is an undeveloped field of revolutionary history.
