The promulgation of “Enterprise Bankruptcy Law” has established a good mechanism for the survival of the fittest of enterprises. In 2008, Jiangsu courts newly closed 320 bankruptcy cases, with total assets of about 9.43 billion yuan, total debts of more than 26.67 billion yuan, and involving more than 235,000 enterprise employees.
