传统的文体作文教学在取得很多成绩的同时,存在着一定的弊端,即在某种程度上限制了学生创造性思维的培养,扼杀了学生的想象力,影响了学生作文的积极性,作文教学改革势在必行。在吸收传统作文教学经验的基础上,出现了“淡化文体”要求,他提倡把学生从过分强调文体的套子中解脱出来。强化学生写作素质、写作基础的训练。但淡化文体不等于不要文体,学生对文章基本表达方法的运用仍是中学作文教学的基础。教师应在这种基础上,改变观念,减少文体对学生写作的束缚,让学生深入领会淡化文体的内涵和存在的意义,正确把握这一新理念,使其得到科学、合理的运用,以求取得作文教学的突破。
