Between 3:45 am and 4:20 am on June 12, 1985, a large-scale landslide occurred in Xinbei Town, Xiling Gorge, the Yangtze River in the territory of Zigui County, Hubei Province, together with 3,000 large-scale landslides. Sliding body 910 meters from the elevation of the wide slope of the home to slide the Yangtze River. Xin Tan, an ancient town, was destroyed by high-speed landslides falling into the Yangtze River. Approximately 2.6 million earthworks occupy one-third of the surface of the river before entering the river, and the excitement wave is 54 meters high. The surge spreads 42 kilometers upstream and downstream of the river and interrupts shipping for 12 days. The Xintan Xintan landslide in the Yangtze River is an irresistible devastating natural disaster. Because our forecast is accurate and timely, it provides a scientific basis for decisive decision-making made by the governments at all levels and regions in disaster relief. There were 457 households and 1,371 people in the slide area with no casualties and no casualties. 11 passenger ships in the area were immediately hedged and the disaster losses were reduced to a minimum. The local victims said gratefully: “Landslide riskless people, disaster ruthless party.” The central leading comrades spoke highly of this and praised it as “a marvelous miracle in the world!” The successful prediction of the Xintan landslide has created a rare miracle in the history of landslide prediction research both at home and abroad and has been commended by Hubei provincial party committee and government . He was praised and highly praised by Canadian and Czech experts who went to visit the scene.
