【Abstract】Learning any language needs abundant reading， therefore， extra-curricular reading is an essential component for learning English. It not only broadens students views， but also increases Ss’s knowledge. Equipped with a lot of cognitive ability， students can improve English.

One. Motivation maintenance：reading interest motivation is fundamental
Interest is the best teacher， and in extra-curricular reading， it is necessary to constantly stimulate students’ reading interest and provide continuous “kinetic energy” at the dynamic level.
