At present, why primary school teachers engage in research is necessary and possible? On this issue, I try for a tentative discussion. The study of primary school teachers is a practical research.1 From the source of the research questions, the primary school teachers study directly from their needs in education and teaching practice. Specific educational issues require specific solutions. The general education science theory reveals the general nature and laws of the phenomenon of education. It can guide practice but can not predict every particular educational situation and therefore can not be used directly.
