美国著名社会教育家戴尔·卡耐基以其《人性的弱点》等著作在世界各国享有盛名。卡耐基成名前,干过一段推销工作。当他第一次应征销售员岗位时,负责招聘工作的经理约翰·艾兰奇先生突然问道:“你有什么办法把打字机推销给农场主?”卡耐基稍稍思索一番后坦诚地回答:“抱歉,先生,我没办法把这种产品推给农场主,因为他们根本就不需要。”艾兰奇高兴得从椅子上站起来,拍拍戴尔的肩膀,兴奋地说:“年轻人,很好,你通过了,我想你会出类拔萃!”
Dale Carnegie, a well-known American social educator, enjoys a good reputation in various countries around the world for his “The Weakness of Human Nature.” Before Carnegie became famous, he did a marketing job. When he first applied for a salesman’s position, Mr. John Airange, the manager responsible for recruitment, suddenly asked: “What method do you have to sell the typewriter to the farmer?” Carnegie answered frankly after thinking a bit. :“Sorry, sir, I can’t push this product to the farmer because they don’t need it at all.” Iranky was pleased to get up from his chair and pat on Dell’s shoulder, excitedly saying: “Young people, well, you passed, I think you will excel!”
