Preface There are 40 papers on the topic of “river geomorphology”, including 7 articles on river sediment production, 9 articles on river sedimentation, 19 articles on river landform development, 5 applications on remote sensing methods and experimental study. The main contents of the thesis are summarized below. II. Summary (I) Sediment production in the river basin This part mainly discusses the erosion process of the Loess Plateau in the middle reaches of the Yellow River and sediment production in the river basin, as well as the change of the sediment yield in the Yangtze River and the future of the Yangtze River. In recent years, by analyzing the influence of sediment yield in the loess area, it is considered that rainfall, runoff depth and slope are the factors that affect the loess
