Between the fingertips, “Schoolmaster” has been two years old. Over the past two years, we have been adhering to a philosophy of encouraging, shouting, and cheering for China’s basic education; we have always adhered to the belief that the various drawbacks of China’s basic education are objectively presented to readers in the form of news. Rationally discuss the countermeasures with insight in anatomy. At the beginning of 2005, we launched the “2004 Basic Education Hot News List” and caused a certain response among readers. At the beginning of 2006, it changed from “hot” to “cold”. After sorting out thousands of news, eight news points were selected for readers’ reference. The “freezing point”, in terms of basic education, refers to those issues that are chilling and lead to endless thoughts. These are major issues that must be highly valued and resolved, those that people turn a blind eye to or just appear. We do not intend to belittle China’s basic education. On the contrary, precisely because we value China’s basic education, we should face up to the “freezing point” crisis in reality.
