Before entering the meaning explanation indicated by the title of this article, we should first of all need to affirm that the historical object of the May Fourth Movement is affirmed. It is undoubtedly one of the hottest core topics in the 20th century and the core issue that all the researchers in the humanities in China can not avoid to talk about the May Fourth Movement and its enlightening spirit. At present, however, people have some problems with the confirmation of the historical object of the May Fourth Movement. The various interpretations of the May Fourth Movement are often two activities of different historical connotations, that is, the New Culture Movement started in 1915 and the Patriotic Activities of Students in 1919
