The complexes of diphenyldionediamidine were synthesized and the immobilization of CO2 and the reaction of CO2 with organic substrates were studied. The reaction products were determined by IR, 1H-13C-NMR and elemental analysis. The results showed that diphenylenedione-type dianilinium manganese is an electron-rich complex that can be fixed and catalytically converted into organic acid under mild conditions
