一台柴油机究竟可以发出多大功率?哪一个功率才是我们应该出厂使用的?当一台柴油机作为多种用途时其额定功率又应该如何标定?……这些问题目前在我国还是十分混乱的。毫无疑问,正确地标定功率将给国家和使用者带来极大的利益。本文在这方面进行了一些初步工作。首先,从理论上讨论了功率标定问题的实质是确定人定功率和特性功率之间合理的关系,并提出作为一台柴油机,并无额定功率可言,而只应定出最大功率、间歇功率和持续功率三条曲线。额定功率只是在上述基础上针对不同用途而命名的。
