The Community Correction System (CTOs) is a legal mechanism by which individuals with psychological problems, non-compliance and violent tendencies can be adjusted through the psychiatric treatment of the outpatient service. Although the system of community correction is increasingly being used by the government as a way of protecting people with mental illness and society themselves, the controversy they cause still deserves our attention. Although some of the potential benefits of treatment to improve adherence and reduce hospitalization have been corroborated by some violations of their human rights and freedoms in psychiatric patients. Consideration of the ethical and practical implications of a community correction system must continue. In this article we will explore some of the most pressing issues.
