顾黄初先生是当代著名语文教育家,被语文教育界称为继叶圣陶、吕叔湘、张志公“三老”之后的“三公”(另两位为朱绍禹、刘国正)之一。1953年,顾先生从南京大学中文系毕业后开始在中学任教,担任过多年的中学教师,并从事过中学语文教师和在职语文教师的培训工作。后来转入扬州师院中文系担任语文教学法专业的教授,专门从事语文教育研究,直到2003年退休,他从教的时间长达50年。顾先生一生勤奋耕耘,著作等 Mr. Gu Huangchu, a famous contemporary Chinese language educator, was described by the Chinese education community as one of the “Three Officials” (the other two being Zhu Shaoyu and Liu Guosheng) following Ye Shengtao, Lu Shuxiang and Zhang Zhigong. In 1953, after graduating from the Department of Chinese at Nanjing University, Mr. Gu started teaching in secondary schools as a middle school teacher for many years. He also worked as a teacher of Chinese language teachers and serving Chinese teachers in middle schools. He later transferred to the Chinese Department of Yangzhou Teachers College as a professor of Chinese pedagogy specializing in Chinese language education and research until his retirement in 2003, he taught for as long as 50 years.
