The controversy over the study of the novelist Virginia Woolf’s philosophical thinking often overlooks her complex attitude to G.E. Moore, a British positivist philosopher. By reading Woolf ’s novels, diaries and correspondences, this article puts forward the following views: Moore’ s philosophy is the starting point of Woolf ’s cognition of cognition, and his formulation of “state of consciousness” affects Woolf’ The moment of existence "is the creative idea of crystallization, but Moore’s positivist philosophy does not accord with Woolf’s essence under the always appearance, and essence is the real cognition. In addition, her concern for self transcended the philosophical tradition of duality and her psychology of deep interest was not psychology in the Freudian sense. She emphasizes the importance of instantaneous perception to individual existence and the value of life, rejects the clarity of philosophy by vague and multi-semantic literary, embodies the writer’s suspicion of dogma and the belief that literature and literature are the ultimate transcendence.
