我们给自行车的轮胎打气时,用手摸一摸打气筒,感觉热手。这种现象就是空气被压缩时温度升高的反应。大气中也有与这相彷的现象:空气下沉时,因受压缩,温度也会升高。焚风是我们所熟知的一种热风,当一股气流越过山岭在山的背面下沉时,可能成为焚风。空气下沉的现象在另外几种场合之下也有发生的可能:一种场合是高气压中心,一种场合是急行冷锋之前的上空。我们知道,高气压的空气在水平方向要向低气压流动,这种作用在气象学上叫做辐散;如果高气压的辐散很强,在高气压中心上空的空
When we pumped the tires of the bicycle, we touched the pump and felt hot hands. This phenomenon is the reaction that the temperature rises when the air is compressed. There is also a similar phenomenon in the atmosphere: When the air sinks, the temperature will increase due to compression. Fuming wind is a kind of hot wind that we are familiar with, and when a gas flow sinks over the mountain and sinks on the back of the mountain, it may become a burning wind. The phenomenon of air sinking may also occur in several other situations: one is the high pressure center, and the other is the space before the cold front. We know that high-pressure air flows horizontally toward low pressure. This effect is called divergence in meteorology; if the high-pressure divergence is strong, the air over the center of high pressure is empty.
