为深入学习实践科学发展观,研究教育系统关工委工作面临的新形势、新情况、新问题,努力开创关工委工作的新局面。2009年4月14日,教育部关工委在国家教育行政学院举办全国省(区、市)教育关工委和教育部直属高校关工委领导干部学习班。教育部关工委有关领导和在京委员,以及全国20多个省(区、市)和70多所高校的关工委负责同志120余人参加了学习。教育部关工委主任田淑兰同志出席开班式并作重要讲话。教育部关工委副主任、国家教育行政学院院长郑树山、国家教育行政学院常务副院长张兰春出席开班式。教育部党组副书记、副部长袁贵仁同志看望了学习班全体同志,并就教育改革发展形势作了专题报告,深刻分析阐述了当前我国教育的形势和今后一个时期我国教育的主要思路、主要任务及主要举措等。田淑兰同志在讲话中主要就建设学习型关工委,着力推进新形势下的关心下一代工作提出了意见和要求,强调建设学习型关工委是应对形势变化、建设学习型社会的必然要求;是加强自身建设、推动关工委事业科学发展的必然选择;是促进人的全面发展、丰富和完善老同志“五大优势”的必由之路。要建设学习型关工委就必须向传统学习、向书本学习、向实践学习;要积极探索建设学习型关工委的长效机制,准确把握关工委的职能定位,为建设学习型关工委提供必要保障,充分整合资源,为老同志创造学习条件,开拓创新,不断增强建设学习型关工委的活力;要增强紧迫感与使命感,加快建设学习型关工委,更好地发挥老同志在关心下一代工作中的独特优势。学员们还认真听取了有关专家关于国际形势、基础教育的科学发展、关心下一代工作、高校党建和大学生思想教育工作等方面的报告。本期“特别报道”栏目所刊发的四篇文章改编自田淑兰同志在开班式上的讲话和江苏省、盐城市、靖江市实验学校提交教育部关工委的工作经验汇报。从中我们可以感到社会各界心系教育、关爱儿童的浓浓深情,本期正值新中国儿童节60周年之际,我们特向全国少年儿童致以节日的祝贺,祝少年儿童在党、政府和社会各界的深切关怀下茁壮成长!
