With the arrival of genomics / genomics and big data era, precision medicine will become an inevitable trend of medical development. Under this new situation, profound changes will take place in the attitudes and behaviors of medical personnel, and the overall and individualized pediatric care will be truly realized. Nursing is the terminal service for medical work, so genomics will inevitably change the professional life of nurses. Nurses will become core members in the integration of multidisciplinary work. The clinical nursing specialists at Gene Therapy Center of University College London have shown such a role. However, most current practicing nurses, including pediatric nurses, lack the skills to apply genomics in nursing patients and do not have the capability to apply disease genomics / genomics observations to assess disease risk and provide patients and their families with health knowledge and self-care . In the future, genomic / genomics content should be included in the curriculum of undergraduate nursing teaching and intensive training of on-the-job nurses should be carried out. The key to cultivating leaders with academic innovation in the near future is the key to genomics / genomics care.
