在英语课堂教学中,图画作为其重要的辅助工具,最主要的目的是利用具有吸引力的实物图片来吸引学生们的注意,激发出他们的热情,让其更加积极,更加主动地投入到英语学习中。虽然在初中英语课堂教学中,图画作为教学工具被广泛应用,但是由于初中生的生理以及心理特征还不够成熟,对图画教具的内涵并不能深刻理解。再加上图画教具引进到初中英语课堂教学中的时间并不长,其应用又缺乏系统的科学研究,所以应当在图画教学的过程中,不断总结,不断完善,充分发挥其在初中英语课堂教学中的重要作用。
