According to the “China Express” reported by the Chinese Institute of Scientific and Technical Information, Pakistani professor and Nobel laureate Salim wrote about the scientific issues in the Third World in the British “Science World” No. 2, 1989. Salam believes that the third world is slowly realizing that science and technology are the difference between North and South. The standard of living in a country depends on science and technology. The growing economic and political disparities between North and South countries are basically the scientific ones. Just open a comprehensive science magazine like the British “Nature,” to understand this growing science gap: less than 2% of the papers published in the South. This is only a secondary reflection of the size of science in the Third World. A more visible indicator of the science of the Third World is the South's research
