“Stay” is the original intention to stick to somewhere. In our country, there are left-behind children, both you and I who are already familiar with, and they stick to the sky of blue and loneliness for mum and dad. In 2007, the All-China Women’s Federation jointly established a special task force with relevant experts to study the status, problems and countermeasures of left-behind children in rural areas of China and published a research report of nearly 10,000 words. The report shows that the number of left-behind children aged 0-17 in China is 21.72% of the total children. Based on this, it is estimated that there are about 58 million left-behind children in rural areas throughout the country, including about 40 million left-behind children aged under 14 in rural areas. Compared with 2000, the scale of left-behind children in rural areas is growing rapidly. Among all rural children, the proportion of left-behind children reached 28.29%, and left-behind children in rural areas have become very common.
