自Iijima在1991年发现碳纳米管以来,全世界对碳管的结构和性能进行了大量的研究,对碳纳米管的合成、纯化分离、性质进行了充分细致的探索,并逐渐在纳电子学、场发射、探针针尖制备以及气体传感器等多领域得以应用.而时隔不久发现的单壁碳管更显示出其超越多壁碳管的突出特性,大规模的合成和纯化已成为可能。
Since Iijima discovered carbon nanotubes in 1991, a great deal of research has been carried out on the structure and properties of carbon nanotubes in the world. The synthesis, purification, separation and properties of carbon nanotubes have been thoroughly explored and gradually developed in nanoelectronics Field emission, probe tip preparation and gas sensor etc. However, the newly discovered single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) have shown their salient features beyond the MWCNTs and the large-scale synthesis and purification have become possible.
