随着我国社会经济的发展,为我国教育事业的发展创造了良好的环境,同时也对教育事业提出了更高的要求。在这样的环境下,高校也纷纷的进行了改革,田径运动是一项基础性体育项目,也是大学生体育运动的有效方式。但是,在传统教学思想的影响下,我国高校的田径课教学过于强调技术性和竞技性,教学方式比较落后,忽略了学生的个体差异,学生的主体地位不能充分体现,教学的效果不是很明显。而分层教学法应用于大学体育田径课程教学,充分体现了以人为本的理念,将学生作为教学的主体,根据学生的实际情况,有层次的进行教学,提高了学生的兴趣和教学质量,是新时期大学田径体育教学的有效手段。
