Teaching in the “lens” section of junior high school physics usually uses demonstration experiments to derive the convex lens’ imaging rules. However, because some students cannot see the images on the screen or see the scale of the scale on the optical bench, they cannot figure out the object distance and the image distance. The application of re-contact inequality is also unfamiliar to students. Convex lens imaging has become a difficult teaching. For this reason, I used a side-by-side teaching method to allow students to understand the concepts in the hands-on experimentation process, recognize the characteristics of the images, and master the laws of imaging. My teaching design is as follows.
