近二个世纪以来,新材料的出现对提高柴油机的比功率和可靠性、对节能和降低维修保养费等方面作出了重大贡献。陶瓷材料以它特有的耐热性、耐磨性及其绝热性得到人们的重视。为了研究陶瓷材料在柴油机上的应用,法国RENAULT工业车辆公司在一台直喷式280CV增压柴油机上采用陶瓷材料进行了试验研究。采用陶瓷绝热的零件有:活塞(顶部)、缸套(上部)、缸盖(燃烧室部分及排气流道)、气阀、排气管,还有涡轮压气机罩壳和涡轮盘。经过试验,其中一些零件已经工作了几百小时而未损坏。
In the past two centuries, the advent of new materials has made a significant contribution to improving the specific power and reliability of diesel engines, and saving energy and reducing maintenance costs. Ceramic materials with its unique heat resistance, wear resistance and thermal insulation have been people’s attention. In order to study the application of ceramic materials in diesel engines, RENAULT Industrial Vehicles in France conducted a pilot study using a ceramic material on a direct injection 280CV turbocharged diesel engine. Parts that use ceramic insulation are: piston (top), cylinder liner (top), cylinder head (combustion chamber section and exhaust runner), air valve, exhaust pipe, turbo compressor housing and turbine disk. After testing, some of these parts have been working for hundreds of hours without damage.
