This article attempts to apply psychophysics methods, based on a large number of experimental facts, to analyze the optical illusion. It analyzes the reason of illusion, quantitatively describes the amount of illusion, discusses the general regularity, and thinks that illusion is not completely a subjective phenomenon. It is produced by the objective physical stimulus and the impression of past experience. Optical illusion in the daily life environment can be obtained through the physical, but the most obvious manifestation in the geometry. The variety of illusion patterns can basically be divided into two categories based on the wrong tendencies that they cause: one is the quantitative illusion, including the illusion caused by size and length; the other is the illusion about direction.
