The United States Continental Reflectometry Profile Association (COCORP) has been conducting systematic manual seismic reflection profiling work in more than a dozen states since 1975. The purpose of this work is to understand the deep structure of the earth’s crust and to explain the genesis mechanism and development characteristics of the tectonic units of the major earths on the basis of their relation with the surface geological structure so as to reveal the evolution law of the entire crust. Due to the use of vibrator-based devices, COCORP is able to detect more accurately the various geologic boundaries above the Moho, among which there are especially gently-inclined and nearly horizontal interfaces. This artificial seismic reflection profile provides people with 3D angles
