遵照伟大领袖毛主席关于“有了优良品种,即不增加劳动力、肥料,也可获得较多的收成”的教导,湖北省水生生物研究所同有关养殖部门组成协作组,从一九七二年开始,对生长在我国长江中下游江河湖泊和水库的一种野生经济鱼类——细鳞斜颌鲴进行驯养试验。与此同时,进行了鲤鱼品种间杂交选育试验。经过五年的努力,成功地驯养了细鳞斜颌鲴,和在五八年工作的基础上发现散鳞镜鲤(雄)同兴国红鲤(雌)杂交一代(简称杂交鲤),具有明显的杂种优势。几年来,这两条鱼已在全国十九个省、市、自治区的不同类型水体进行了生产性推广试养,普遍反映良好。

At the same time, we carried out the breeding test of hybrid between common carp. After five years of hard work, it has successfully domesticated the fine-scale Obliquus obliquus, and on the basis of five or eight years of work, it found that the hybrid generation of the common carp (male) with the red carp (female) Heterosis. In recent years, these two kinds of fish have been trialled for productive promotion in different types of bodies of water in 19 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in the country, generally showing good results.
