尽管从《美国偶像（少年版）》脱颖而出，尽管因其与“小甜甜”布兰妮相似的成名经历而被誉为“美国甜心接班人”，尽管曾与杰西·麦卡尼同台献唱，尽管17岁就发行了一张个人大碟拍了一部电影，Katelyn Tarver的音乐依然和她的笑容一样轻快明朗、平易近人，从头到尾洋溢着四射的活力。作为今年发行的中国大陆版特别收录的新歌，《追逐回声》展现出来的也仅仅是一个平凡的十几岁少女，为男生烦恼，为恋情烦恼，然后在笔记的角落，在书本的空白，草草写下只字片语的心声，让人听着听着便忍不住跟着哼唱起来。也许有人会说这种音乐太流行太甜美，但谁会一边看青春片一边忧国忧民？人生不是只有深沉的时候，而Katelyn的歌也不是为赋新词强说愁——那只是带点酸涩，又让人无限向往的朦胧青葱。
