明年的8月8日将迎来万众期待的2008年奥运会，你准备好了吗？为了庆祝北京2008年奥运会倒计时一周年，今年8月，各种庆祝活动也将如火如荼地全面展开。这个夏日京城好不热闹！同学们，趁着放暑假，赶快到北京去提前感受一下奥运热情吧！
Ten families from China and abroad will travel to Beijing and other cities co-hosting[协办] the Games under the “Olympic Families Tour Beijing”competition. To participate in the program, families must have three or more members. They have to register on the official website of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
One hundred families ?fifty from China and fifty from overseas ?will be selected for the competition. They will have to complete a number of challenging tasks before the ten winning families are selected through an online vote. The winners will start their tour through Beijing, Qingdao, Shanghai and Hong Kong on August 8, 2007, the start of the one-year countdown to the Beijing Olympic Games.
The campaign[竞赛] will serve as an illustration[说明] of the Olympic theme slogan[口号] “One World One Dream.”The ten winning families will be provided with a unique opportunity to see how the 2008 Olympic Games are being prepared.
For those who are unaware[不知道], the number 8 is lucky in Chinese culture, much like the number 7 is lucky in Western culture. The Beijing Olympics will commence[开始] on 8th August 2008, at 8:08pm. The date and time stated is supposed to be very lucky indeed, and should bode[预示] well for China having a fortune filled Olympic extravaganza[盛典].
在“奥运家庭游北京”的活动中，10个中外家庭将到达北京以及其它奥运协办城市进行奥运之旅。本次活动的参赛者必须是由三人或三人以上组成的家庭。参赛家庭要登陆2008北京奥运会的官方网站进行报名。
大会将选出100个入围家庭，其中一半来自中国，另一半来自海外。他们将进行一系列极富挑战性的比试，然后通过网上投票筛选出十个获胜家庭。这些冠军家庭将于2007年8月8日开始对北京、青岛、上海和香港进行奥运之旅，当天适逢是北京奥运会倒计时一周年的开始。
