地球山脉中心的岩石与沉积岩和火成岩不同,它们不但有特别的机理和构造,还含有各式各样的新生矿物,这就是由火成岩或沉积岩变化而成的变质岩。导致这种变化的因素有三个,一是附近火成岩侵入所放出的热,二是上面山脉重压所造成的巨大压力,三是化学作用。热力和压力可以使岩石在未熔融的条件下,发生重结晶作用。根据某些地区变质岩的存在,可知这些地区从前可能是座山脉,即使现在已经变得很平坦了。
Unlike the sedimentary rocks and igneous rocks, the rocks in the center of the Earth’s mountains have not only special mechanisms and structures but also all kinds of newborn minerals, which are metamorphic rocks that have been altered from igneous rocks or sedimentary rocks. There are three factors that lead to this change. One is the heat released by the nearby igneous intrusion, the other is the enormous pressure caused by the heavy pressure on the top of the mountain and the third is chemical action. Heat and pressure can make the rock in the unmelted conditions, recrystallization occurs. Based on the presence of metamorphic rocks in some areas, it can be seen that these areas were formerly mountain ranges, even though they have now become flat.
