In the more than 20 years of reform and opening up, Chinese language teaching has attracted the attention of all walks of life. The state has made four major revisions to the Chinese syllabus. The revision of the Chinese syllabus embodies the strength of Chinese language teaching reform. It is a milestone in China’s Chinese teaching reform and marks a major change in China’s Chinese teaching thinking. Curriculum, teacher and teaching evaluation are the three major topics in the reform of mother tongue education in today’s world.
