近年来,随着我国经济的高速发展,高层建筑的数量和高度都在不断攀升,高层建筑火灾时常发生,损失惨重。为控制和扑救高层火灾,消防科技人员研制出加压喷雾送风机,能有效控制消灭高温烟雾,在高层火灾扑救中一展身手。在高层建筑中,热对流是火灾蔓延的主要形式,火风压和烟囱效应是火灾蔓延的动力,高温热烟是蔓延的条件。防止高层建筑火灾,最重要的是控制和驱散高温烟雾。纽约消防专家杰拉尔德提倡利用风扇对付高楼火灾,风扇有助于消除走廊和楼梯中的烟,能开辟缓解高热的区域。
