和谐教育是把以师生关系为主的学校人际关系的和谐视为教育的前提条件。和谐的师生关系是激发学生学习热情的原动力。然而,“师道尊严”、“一日为师,终身为父”的古训常使学生对教师生出惧怕与疏远,久而久之,学生的思想被束缚,主体意识被埋没。要打破这种教学专制,实现真正意义上的教学民主、平等、和谐,就要转变过去“教师即知识、即权威”的师本角色为“师生平等互助”的生本角色,重建新型的和谐的师生关系。
Harmonious education regards the harmony of the interpersonal relationships in schools based on the teacher-student relationship as the precondition of education. Harmonious relationship between teachers and students is to stimulate students enthusiasm for learning the driving force.
