At present, many countries in the world have set up comprehensive liberal arts and comprehensive science courses in secondary schools. Although the level of comprehensiveness is very different, it seems to have become a trend to emphasize this point. In our country, although there are individual schools conducting this kind of experiment, it is only the beginning. What are the advantages of comprehensive liberal arts and what problems are still not fully understood. Recently, I saw a 1983 Sociological Course Outline (hereinafter referred to as the “Outline”) in East Liverpool, Ohio, which we found to be reflected in the curriculum setting method and the Outline.
