3D tissue printing: first eye-print using ink-jet printing By the end of 2013, British researchers successfully printed eye cells for the first time using ink-jet printing technology. This result makes it possible to treat blindness by transplanting artificial eye retina tissue. The current results can print two kinds of mouse retinal cells - ganglion cells and glial cells.
