合浦绒螯蟹在生物分类上属于甲壳纲、十足目、方蟹科、绒螯蟹属,俗称毛蟹。主要分布在广西南部,其中以南流江流域浦北辖区江段产量最高。毛蟹在河流入海处咸淡水水域中繁殖,在淡水中生长。每年秋冬季节(9～11月),在淡水中生长成熟的毛蟹向河口洄游,到达河口附近的浅海区,雌雄亲蟹就交配产卵,排出的卵附着在母蟹腹部孵 Hepu mitten crab in the taxonomic belong to crustacea, deciduous, crab family, mitten crab, commonly known as hairy crabs.
