一、教学设想
本课时的教学任务是学习Unit 4 What Are You Doing?第三课时A:Read and write的内容,在教学过程中,我将创设与生活息息相关的真实情境进行阅读会话教学。首先通过看图表演的游戏复习句型What are you doing?I’m...,同时活跃气氛。接着利用多媒体课件播放电话邀请朋友去玩的动画,让学生感知电话用语并充分调动学生学习英语的积极性。在新授环节先运用动画主角想去的地方作为一个契机进行主句型操练,再设计由浅入深的问题指导阅读。在知识巩固环节,通过听音辨人、电话邀请等游戏和练习为学生创造运用所学知识进行交际的机会,并通过这些活动活跃课堂气氛,达到学以致用的目的。
二、教学内容
PEP五年级下册Unit 4 What Are You Doing?A:Read and write.
三、教学目标
1.能听、说、读、写句型:This is Zhang Peng.What are you doing?I am doing the dishes/reading a book.
2.能用“What are you doing?I am...”互相通电话,询问对方正在做什么并回答。
3.培养学生合作学习与交流的能力。
四、教学重、难点
1.重点:What are you doing?I am...的听、说、读、写。
2.难点:This is...在电话交谈中的意义和Do you want to go to the Children’s Center?的理解与朗读。

多媒体课件、图卡、单词卡等。

设计意图:教师通过相互打招呼,一方面可活跃课堂气氛;另一方面可使孩子情绪得到放松,使学生对教师产生亲近感,体现平等的师生关系,从而使学生迅速进入学习状态。
2.Let’s sing:What are you doing?
设计意图:复习主句型,活跃课堂气氛。
3.Let’s play a game: Look,act and answer教师呈现动作卡片问:What are you doing?学生看图边做动作边回答I am...
设计意图:复习主句型,为下面的学习作铺垫。
(三)Presentation
1.通过故事感知电话用语并引入生词talking。(Boys and girls, do you like stories?OK!Let’s watch the cartoon.)课件播放King电话邀请伙伴一起去玩的情景,让学生在欣赏故事的同时感知电话用语和talking的意思。
设计意图:通过有趣的小故事调动学生学习的兴趣。
2.教学难点句型:Do you want to go to the Children’s Center?(Oh,no one play with King.Maybe he wants to go to the Sports Center.)课件呈现孩子们熟悉的体育中心的图片,理解center的意义。(The Labour Day is coming. Do you want to go to the Children’s Center?)课件呈现儿童活动中心图片。
设计意图:通过运用孩子们熟知的本地体育中心的图片让学生理解新词的意思,再过渡到复杂句子的听说,这样既能充分吸引学生的注意力,又降低了读说的难度。
3.重点句型操练。(There are many children in the Children’s Center. What are they doing?Let’s go and see.)课件出示儿童活动中心里面孩子们的活动场景,让学生两两对话练习:What are they doing?They are ...What is he/she doing?He/She is...教师把这些句型板书出来。
设计意图:结合活动中心里有趣的活动场景,让学生以交际的形式运用所学的句型。
4.文段教学。(The children are very happy. Someone wants to go to the Children’s Center too.Who are they?)先让学生听课文录音和观看动画,回答问题:What is Zhang Peng doing?What is John doing?(学生书写答案)再让学生跟读和分角色读,最后分角色扮演。
5.小结电话用语。
(四)Practise
1.听力游戏。
播放一段预先录好的同班同学的电话交谈内容,让学生先听音辨人:Who are they?再听一遍回答:What is Li ×× doing?What is Ling ×× doing?Where do they want to go?
