在当代文坛上,贾平凹的小说在两性关系描写上体现出独特的艺术个性。在80年代前期,他的作品以美的文笔叙写一般人闻所未闻的远山野情,写一个个天生丽质的菩萨,写一个个充满人性光辉的男子,写他们之间悖理合情的爱情追求,在某种意义上,他笔下独特的性爱景观既继承了古典小说性描写的传统,又无意中满足了当时读者的阅读期待。到了80年代后期,他有意识地借助性的视角去透视复杂的社会与人生境况,性描写成为其塑造人物性格,描摩改革背景下人们浮躁心态的艺术手段。
In contemporary literary circles, Jia Pingwa’s novels embody the unique artistic personality in the description of gender relations. In the early 1980s, his works were written in the style of beauty to describe the untouchable unheard-of far-off feelings of the ordinary people, to write the Bodhisattvas of a natural beauty, to write a man full of humanity, to write about the pursuit of love which is contrary to reasonable feelings, In a sense, his unique sexual landscape inherits both the tradition of sexual descripition of classical novels and inadvertently satisfies the readers’ expectations of reading. By the late 1980s, he consciously used the sexual perspective to look into the complex social and life situations. Sexual portrayal became an artistic method of shaping the characters and impetuous people under the background of reform.
