哲学家说:掌握“度”的概念及原理,就等于有了一把认识世界的钥匙。何为“度”,哲学上是指一定事物保持自己质的数量界限。在这个界限内,量的增减不改变事物的质,超过这个界限,就要引起质变。曹雪芹在《红楼梦》第十三回中讲:月满则亏,水满则溢。明代刘基在《司马季主论卜》中写道:“蓄极则泄,闭极则达,热极则风,壅极则通。”《易·系辞下》中有:“穷则变,变则通,通则久。”还有如物极必反,过犹不及,矫枉过正等,都包含着度的意思。
