Australian scientists said they have created a new generation of DVD that stores 1000TB of data, which is 212,000 times more than a regular DVD and capable of storing 40,000 high-definition videos. In contrast, ordinary DVD storage capacity is usually only 4.7GB. The new generation of DVDs uses two laser beams to write data, measuring only 9 nanometers, making super storage a single factor.
