A novel two-dimensional nanopatterned TiO2 thin film has been synthesized through the interaction between cationic Gemini surfactant molecules and the prepared TiO2 colloid nanoparticles with average diameters of 8 nm by controlling the surface pressure of the monolayer. TEM photographs from the formed Gemini-TiO2 composite monolayer confirm that the prepared TiO2 film is of a branch nanopattern.
