The test stand developed by the Latvian Institute for Research in Buildings is a non-destructive factory that inspects and measures the thermal resistance of external wall panels. Research shows that the heat loss from large slab houses through the wall reaches 50%. One of the reasons for this is the lack of effective equipment that can directly measure the insulation quality of wallboards in manufacturing plants. A similar measurement is currently performed by testing a single specimen in the laboratory for a long period of time (up to three days). Latvian researchers have studied new methods for determining the thermal resistance of various plates, which have become the basis for the development of test stands.
