本文从“康乐教育理念”与“以人为本”理念的辩证分析入手,阐述了把“健康快乐”作为老年教育的核心理念,体现了老年人对健康的强烈关注和对快乐的的迫切祈求。不可否认,当代老年人还有进取、奉献、提高素质等方面的要求,但同样也必须承认,“健康快乐”是这一群体的生命特征的主要矛盾和矛盾的主要方面。从这个意义上讲,实现健康快乐就是他们最实际、最需要的进取;提高身体素质也是他们最需要、最基本的素质,甚至可以说追求健康快乐的本身就是一种进取。文章认为,把“健康快乐”作为老年教育的核心理念,能在满足老年人祈求健康快乐的需求过程中,更大地调动起老年人社会属性的积极因素,增强他们对老年教育的认同感和归属感,在老年教育科学发展进程中更好地发挥主体作用,并成为推动老年教育持续发展的永不衰竭的动力;把健康快乐作为老年教育科学发展的核心理念,把塑造健康快乐老年人作为老年教育的目标,充分体现了以人为本中“人是经济和社会发展的目的”的重要内涵,同时还进一步把老年教育的功能提升到新的高度,凸显老年教育提升老年人生命质量和生活质量的重要性,从而塑造健康快乐老年人的价值取向。文章最后归纳认为,康乐教育理念既是一个具有人情味、人性化的理念,又是一个有深刻政治内涵和经济意义的、实现了科学性和实践性相统一的老年教育核心理念。
