According to the survey data, the global facial care products output value reached 80.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2012, an increase of 2.7% over the same period of last year; however, the output value of body care products fell to 0.4 billion U.S. dollars, a decrease of 0.4% over the same period. Sales of anti-cellulite / firming products in body-care products fell 4% from 2011 to 2012, from 2.596 billion dollars in 2011 to 2.49 billion in 2012. However, other ordinary, low-end body care products have increased by 0.3% to 13.918 billion US dollars. Sales rebounded in 2013 to reach 2.58 billion U.S. dollars.
