氧化还原反应是一种电子得失(或转移)反应,其氧化还原当量可由下式求得: 氧化还原当量=分子量/总电子得失(或转移)数对无机物来说,得失电子数极易看出,计算当然简单。但对有机物来说,由于其结构复杂,一般多属电子转移,又可能涉及水解、断键等过程,其总电子得失(或转移)数很难看出,因而不得不借助于用直观法或其它方法先将反应方程式配平,再间接求氧化还原当量。如:
